Seven questions we get most. For anything else, email support.
No. Oʻahu Standby is an independent service. We watch the Honolulu DMV's booking system for openings and book one for you. We are not affiliated with the State of Hawaii or any DMV office.
We tell you the moment it is booked, by text or email, whichever you chose, with the date, the office, and your DMV confirmation number. You will not hear from the DMV, our message is the confirmation.
Only when we book you, $29 flat. If no appointment opens in your dates, you pay nothing. The DMV collects its own license fee at the counter.
You stay on standby until your last date. Most bookings land within a few days, but narrow dates at one office can take longer. Open your standby request to widen the dates or add an office.
Yes. Open it from the link in any of our texts or emails, sign in, and change the offices or dates. The new request replaces the old one.
No. We only book. To change or cancel a booked appointment, use the DMV's own site with the DMV confirmation number from your receipt.
It depends on your service. See What to bring.
